Install Aptana Studio as a Plugin

If you're already familiar with installing plugins from Eclipse, you can use this URL for the update site:

From a Local File

  1. To install from a local method, Classic Update MUST BE ENABLED FIRST
  2. Save the above file to an easy to find location.
  3. Open Eclipse, and go to Help > Software Updates > Find and Install
  4. Search for new features to install, then click "Next" then choose "New Archived Site". Choose the file you saved in step 1.
  5. Select the appropriate plugins to install, then click "Next", accept the license agreements, and click "Next" again.
  6. Click "Change location". If no appropriate location is already available, click "Add Location" and choose something like "D:\dev\extensions\pluginname" or "extesnions\aptana".
  7. Click "Finish".
